Acts 2:42 tells us that the Church “continually devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, and to the breaking of bread and to prayer.

Pastor Joby Tricquet

The Bible teaches that we cannot be disciples of Jesus Christ if we do not have a regular intake of God’s Word.  Throughout history, and even today, we see that every great man and woman of God knew God’s Word and spent consistent time with the Lord in His Word. Many opportunities for Bible Study are provided at McElwain.

Sunday mornings – 9:15 a.m.
For one hour each Sunday morning, McElwain offers a Bible study prior to the morning worship service. Persons may choose which class to attend. While most of the classes are studying the same Scripture, there are classes who provide other options. However, all studies during this hour are focused on God’s Word.

Wednesday evenings – 6:15 p.m.
Pastor Joby Tricquet leads a Bible study each Wednesday evening for the McElwain family. Usually, this is a topical study…based on either what God is teaching him in his personal walk or what God has laid on his heart to share with the McElwain family. Prior to this study, join us for supper together in the fellowship hall (5:30 p.m.)

Weekday Bible Studies
A variety of weekday Bible studies are offered during the year. Check the newsletter and the Events Calendar for more specific details on these.
