Pam Smith -- Piano

Pam is an accomplished organist, pianist, and accompanist. She holds a Bachelor of Music Piano Pedagogy degree from the University of Montevallo. She is currently the piano and organ instructor at Southeastern Bible College and the accompanist for the Southeastern Bible College Chorale. Pam accompanies for many school and civic groups in the area and serves as the organist for McElwain Baptist Church where she leads the group Reflections, a ladies ensemble. She has been teaching all ages for the past 29 years in Birmingham. Pam is married to Mark. They have a daughter who graduated with honors from Mississippi State University and a son who serves in the United States Marine Corps.

Stephanie Maxey -- Piano and Voice

Stephanie has been seen in productions across town from the Leeds Arts Council to Opera Birmingham. She has over 25 productions under her belt, both on stage and behind the scenes. She has studied voice with Dr. James Glass of Huntington College and Dr. Sharon Lawhon of Samford University. Stephanie is a graduate of Briarwood Christian High School, where she was a member of the Women's Ensemble as well as the Concert Choir. Stephanie is an active board member of the Leeds Arts Council, and is employed at McGriff, Seibels & Williams, Inc.

Shane Nicholas -- Guitar, Beginning Piano, Bass Guitar (beginner to intermediate), Saxophone (beginner) and Music Theory

Originally from New Orleans, Shane moved to Birmingham to attend Southeasern Bible College. He is currently a senior, majoring in Music Education in the Christian Schools. The primary instrument for his degree is voice/piano.

He began, like most kids, with elementary school band, where he played saxophone. He played sax all the way through high school and began choir his junior year. During his freshmen year, he began playing guitar. He struggled for quite a few years before becoming proficient, which is why he wants to teach. He knows the struggles and hardships that can come with trying to teach yourself. After a few years on guitar, he began an interest in piano and is both self-taught (play by chords and ear) and has had a few years of private lessons to improve his sight-reading and classical skills. He has also had 3 years of private voice lessons. He has also taken up the bass, drums, mandolin, and pretty much anything else he can get his hands on. He has had seven years of experience playing and recording with different bands around the New Orleans and Birmingham areas.

Amber Ellis -- Voice and Piano

Amber Ellis is a graduate of Southeastern Bible College and studiedChurch Music and Voice with Chris Diffey. She has been involved in several productions, favorites of which include: AIDA and The Elixir of Love (Opera Birmingham), What's So Grand about Opera? (Alabama Operaworks), and Jekyll and Hyde (Centerstage Productions). She was a quarterfinalist in the American Traditions Competition in 2005 (Savannah, GA), and has also had the opportunity to sing in California for the last 18 months with Dr. Steve Gothold and Chorale Bel Canto (Los Angeles, CA). She traveled to Austria in August, 2006, to sing on a tour in a celebration of Mozart's 250th birthday, where she participated in the performance of Mozart's Mass in C Minor. Highlights included singing in Vienna at the famous St. Stephens Cathedral, and also at the palace where Haydn lived, worked, and performed: the Esterhazy Schloss in Eisenstadt, Austria. She has recently returned to Birmingham, AL; and teaches voice and elementary piano. Her all-time favorite musical is Wicked, which she has had the privilege to see twice: once in New York and also in L.A.

Kassandra (Kassie) Smith -- Woodwind, Piano,
Keyboard and Percussion instruments

Kassie, 24 years old, graduated from Shades Valley HS w/advanced degreein May 2000. She graduated in Dec. 2004, Cum Laude, from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor's in Music Education, primary instrument Oboe. She has secondary degree in Art. She is highly qualified by the United States Education Association and is licensed to teach in Mississippi and Alabama. She plays all woodwind instruments and piano, keyboard and percussion instruments (marimba, marching cymbals, etc.)
