McElwain is excited about our newly re-vamped College Ministry! God keeps bringing students our way, and we want to be on board with whatever He’s doing. We’re still building, but check out some of the things we’re offering right now and in the near future:

WEEKLY

College and Career Bible Study Class at 9:15 a.m. on Sundays. Join us for Worship and the Word. We meet across the street from the main church campus in the chapel. We even feed you breakfast!

Student Adoption Program - If you’re a student who is not from Birmingham, we have families in the church who would like to “adopt” you while you’re here. They’ll take you to dinner (yes, free food!), have you in their homes, and be available if you have a need.

Finals Madness Kits - Don’t you love finals? We do, because it gives us an opportunity to minister to you. Not only do McElwain members covenant to pray with you, but we’ll deliver a survival kit (snack and stuff) for you to make it through finals week.

Watchcare - Maybe you’re a member of a church somewhere back home, and you don’t want to transfer your membership. That’s fine. At McElwain, we offer what is called “Watchcare” membership. You retain your home church membership, while enjoying most of the benefits of membership at McElwain. About the only difference is that you don’t get to vote in business meetings.
